About Society for Fetal Urology
The Society was formed to improve the care of patients with fetal or, perinatal urologic problems, especially hydronephrosis, by:
- Providing an opportunity for the exchange and dissemination of information between specialists that manage these patients. Including pediatricians, pediatric urologists, maternal fetal obstetricians, nephrologists, radiologists, and other physicians that manage antenatal gentiourinary abnormalities.
- Stimulating and supporting clinical and basic laboratory research in these areas. Facilitating and improving the knowledge of physicians and other professionals that care for these patients.
- Being available as consultants to the AUA, the American Board of Urology, the Society of University Urologists and the Journal of Urology on matters related to fetal and perinatal urology, especially hydronephrosis.
- Bringing all physicians with a commitment to fetal and perinatal care into membership in the Society.
Membership
The Society for Fetal Urology is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to improve the care of patients with fetal and perinatal genitourinary anomalies by promoting research, education, and appropriate practice as well as exchanges between practitioners involved in the care of these patients and their families.
